My career in Hospitality began at the tender age of 18 whilst studying at University, shaking up cocktails at a well-known cocktail chain. Part of my degree was yearlong work placement, which took me to Dublin to the Gresham Hotel, a year full of long nights and early mornings somehow confirming my love for the hospitality industry.
I was fortunate enough to secure a graduate scheme straight out of university with Q Hotels, this role enabled me to learn the managerial side of the hospitality industry and take my career up a notch.
Through a twist of fate and a lot of hard work I found myself in Birmingham where I took over the role as Events Manager, later followed by Bars Manager. The hotel had a large event space, a pub and a stunning cocktail lounge and running these departments instilled my love for hospitality.
A few years and few grey hairs later I made the jump to the bright lights of the capital city, I found myself running a small wine and tapas bar in central London, thoroughly enjoying this job my mind began to wonder as I began to miss my weekends and late nights – what next, what can I do that will still involve my love for hospitality but offer me a fresh challenge.
This is where I stumbled upon Evolve Hospitality, I spent three years running and overseeing the Front of House Events temporary recruitment division, before moving back to Birmingham as Business Manager.
I am thoroughly looking forward to being the General Manager and overseeing the development and growth of the Enhance Brand across the midlands, Working with a niche market with specific requirements.
